The following public notice is required due to a recent change in Kansas law.  This policy will go into effect beginning with the 2024-25 school year.  "Nonresident students" are students whose home address is outside of the district boundary.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to K.S.A. 72-3126 of a public hearing to be held on the 14 day of August 2023, at 6:20 p.m. at USD 343 District Office, 205 W. Bridge St., Perry, Ks regarding the Unified School District No. 343, Jefferson County, Kansas proposed policy to determine the number of nonresident students that the school district has the capacity to accept in each grade level for each school of the school district pursuant to K.S.A. 72-3123, and amendments thereto, including clearly specifying the reasons that the board may use to deny continued enrollment of a nonresident student who is not in good standing.
