Reading Buddy Adventure: A Blast Across the Grades!
Picture this: a 1st grader and a 4th grader teaming up for an epic
reading journey every Thursday. The best part? They’re not just
practicing their reading....they’re becoming partners in literary
crime......but in the most fun, non-criminal way! 😄
For 20 minutes, they escape into the world of stories, taking turns
reading to each other and laughing at silly characters, unexpected
plot twists, and even the occasional funny mispronunciation.
We’ve seen nothing but success so far, with bonds forming between
buddies that go beyond the classroom! The cozy vibe of being in their
own classrooms, paired with the joy of reading with a friend, has made
these sessions pure magic. ✨📚
Check out these adorable photos of our buddy system in action! You’ll
see just how much fun they’re having, and who knows—maybe these
stories will inspire the next big adventure! 😉

This week 2nd grade took their annual Kansas Day trip to the Territorial Capital Museum/Lane University and Constitution Hall. They had great time discovering more about the history of our state and town. Thank you, @Historic Lecompton for helping us learn!
